Gender Equity in Schools is a resource for gender-inclusive teacher education materials and information. Among the resources on this site are: information about curricular bias, teaching tips, classroom activities, and an equity quiz. The Gender Equity Handbook is an online resource developed by 45 classroom teachers and educators specifically for classroom teachers. The handbook is the result of a collaborative project between Rhode Island Commission on Women and Rhode Island College. The 400 page handbook includes information on gender issues in education, online resources, and educational standards to promote equity. Myra Sadker Advocates for Gender Equity is a non-profit organization advocating for equity in and out of schools. The main goal is to eliminate gender bias in education and beyond. Sadkar, who died in 1995, pioneered much of the research on gender bias in schools. The website has articles, books, and links to a variety of resources related to issues of equity. The Picturing Women Project examines the ways that female identities have been constructed using four thematic frames: Figuring, Fashioning, Portraiting, and Telling. The exhibition (Jan. - May 2004) curated by Susan Shifron will have a companion book entitled "picturing women" (2006) featuring essays from scholars across the disciplines. Wellesley Center for Women is a partnership between the Center for Research on Women and the Stone Center for Developmental Services. Together these research centers provide the world's largest women's research center. WCW is focused on looking at the world from women's perspective in order to improve circumstances for all citizens. Their website offers information on current research projects, publications, news and events for women. Women in World History Curriculum is a website that provides interactive lessons, historical essays, and biographies of women. Women identified as 'today's heroes' is a new aspect of this site. This resource is the result of a project to provided information and perspective on women worldwide.
