Yvette V. Lapayese Yvette V. Lapayese is an Assistant Professor in the School of Education at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. She received her Ph.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her present research interests include critical race and Marxist analyses of teacher insurgency; critical race and feminist methodologies in educational research; and the over-sexualization of Latina educators and students in K-12 schools.
