Emily
A. Greytak
A former
educator and counselor at a rape crisis center, and adviser of University
of Pennsylvania's Students Together Against Acquaintance Rape (STAAR),
Emily Greytak has been involved in the field of sexual abuse prevention
for ten years. Currently a doctoral student in Education Policy at the
University of Pennsylvania, her work focuses on school-based programs
designed to prevent sexual abuse, dating violence, school crime, harassment,
racism, prejudice, and homophobia. Emily serves as the Research and Evaluation
Director for tapestry which provides training and resources to
professionals on issues of sexual assault, child abuse, and domestic violence,
and as the Research Coordinator for Campus Outreach Services, a
national organization dedicated to the prevention of sexual violence.
Emily also teaches courses on race, ethnicity and gender in the Sociology
Department at Temple University.
