Miletta and Katherine Morris
Alexandra
Miletta is an Assistant Professor in the Childhood Education Department
of The City College of New York, where she teaches graduate courses in
research and curriculum and supervises student teachers. Her research
interests include preservice teacher education, aesthetic education, and
classroom-based ethnographic research. Kathy Morris is an Assistant
Professor of Elementary Mathematics Education in the
Department of Literacy Studies and Elementary Education at Sonoma State
University. A Carnegie Fellow in the Goldman-Carnegie Quest Project, she
teaches courses on mathematics education, supervises student teachers,
and directs an outreach teaching credential program serving rural communities
in Northern California. Her ethnographic and discourse analytic research
focuses on the professional development of elementary teachers. They met
in graduate school at the University of Michigan. They look forward to
