Ila Deshmukh ToweryIla Deshmukh Towery is currently an advanced doctoral student at the Eliot-Pearson Department of Child Development at Tufts University and a Research Associate at the Boston Plan for Excellence in Boston, MA. Her research interests include critical race & feminist theory, multicultural education, teacher education & professional development, program evaluation, and qualitative & ethnographic methods. Prior to joining the Boston Plan for Excellence, Ms. Deshmukh Towery co-managed the three-year evaluation of the Gender Equity Model Sites (GEMS) Initiative at Tufts University. Ms. Deshmukh Towery graduated from Swarthmore College with a degree in Political Science and Education.
