Angela M. Wiseman is a doctoral student at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education, pursuing a certificate in Urban Studies. She taught elementary school for 6 years in Alexandria City Public Schools. Currently, she teaches courses at George Mason University, works as a part-time language arts specialist in an elementary school and researches how teachers and students connect school, family and community in an English classroom in DC Public Schools.
