Erica R. Meiners Erica R. Meiners, involved with a number of local social justice initiatives in Chicago, is the author of Right to be hostile: Schools, prisons and the making of public enemies, and articles in Rethinking Schools, Race, Ethnicity and Education, International Journal of Qualitative Studies in Education and Gender and Education. She is currently working collaboratively on a long-term study of undocumented youth, criminalization, and access to higher education and on how queer issues are used in the privatization of public education.
